The Problem: Getting Found When People Ask AI
HSDC is a dental practice in Patna. They had a website and some basic online presence, but the real question was different. When someone opens Gemini or ChatGPT and types "best dentist in Patna," does HSDC show up? For most local businesses, the answer was no. Traditional SEO was designed for Google blue links, not for AI-generated answers. HSDC needed to be the practice that AI models recommend first.
What We Did: SEO + GEO/AEO + Google Ads
Three things happened in parallel:
- Traditional SEO: We optimized their Google Business Profile, built local citations, fixed on-page issues, and created service pages targeting dental keywords in Patna. This was the foundation. You cannot rank in AI search if you do not rank in Google first.
- GEO/AEO (Generative Engine Optimization / Answer Engine Optimization): This is the part most agencies do not understand yet. We structured their content and structured data so that when AI models crawl and summarize local businesses, HSDC information is accurate, authoritative, and easy for the model to cite. We worked on schema markup, FAQ content, review signals, and local authority indicators that AI models specifically look for.
- Google Ads: While organic and AI search rankings were building, we ran Google Ads campaigns to capture immediate patient inquiries. The ads were optimized for conversion, not just clicks, so every rupee spent brought in actual appointment requests.
What Changed
Within weeks, HSDC started appearing as the top recommendation when people asked Gemini and ChatGPT about dental care in Patna. Not buried in a list. The first name mentioned. That is the difference between traditional SEO (ranking 3rd on page 1) and AI search (being the answer the AI gives). The Google Ads campaigns kept the phone ringing while organic rankings matured.
