Bold Blends — 520% Sales Jump
DG10 built an e-commerce platform and digital marketing system for Bold Blends Coffee that drove a 520% increase in online sales through product pages, subscriptions, mobile checkout, and targeted ad campaigns.
From Local Coffee Brand to Online Sales Machine
Bold Blends is a coffee brand. Good coffee, but mostly sold through local channels. Retail, events, word of mouth. The problem? Local has a ceiling. You can only sell to so many people in your city. The internet removes that ceiling, but only if you build the right platform and market it properly.
The E-Commerce Platform
We built Bold Blends a complete e-commerce platform. Product pages with high-quality photos, detailed descriptions for each coffee variety, subscription options for repeat buyers, and a checkout process that works on mobile without friction. The site was built to convert visitors into buyers, not just look pretty.
- Product catalog: Each coffee variety got its own page with flavor notes, origin details, roast profile, and brewing recommendations. This is not generic product copy. It is written to help someone choose between a medium roast and a dark roast.
- Subscription system: Customers can set up recurring orders. Weekly, biweekly, or monthly. Subscriptions create predictable revenue and reduce the effort of reordering.
- Mobile-first checkout: Most coffee buyers browse on their phones. The checkout was optimized for mobile with minimal steps, saved payment methods, and Apple Pay / Google Pay integration.
Digital Marketing
The platform was only half the job. We drove traffic through targeted social media ads, email marketing to existing customers, and SEO content around coffee-related searches. The ads targeted people who already buy specialty coffee online, not random audiences. Email campaigns focused on new product launches and subscription offers to bring existing customers back.
What 520% Actually Means
520% is the increase in online sales compared to the previous year. That number includes new customers acquired through digital channels, existing customers who started buying online instead of just in-store, and subscription revenue from repeat buyers. It is not a vanity metric. It is real revenue, tracked through the e-commerce platform. Bold Blends went from a local coffee brand to one with a growing online customer base that orders from anywhere in the country.
